Land Dissipate in Ananmbra Community: Tow Brothers Murdered, Man bags Death Sentence

Starting from 1906 till date, the people of Nkwelle Ezunaka and Osile Villages in Ogbunike, Oyi Loval Government  Area of Anambra State have been  on "hold me and leave me" war each over the ownership of land boundary between the two sister neighbouring villages

Few weeks, fresh dispute erupted when the two communities engaged themselves in a fierce battle leading to the killing of some persons allegedly from Nkwelle Ezunaka while scores of people sustained various degrees of bullet wounds.

 Reformist Newspapers learnt that the recent incident was as a result of an attempt by the people of Osile village to survey the land in dispute but were allegedly accosted by the people of Amuche village Nkwelle Ezunaka with some suspected thugs attacking those on ground with weapons of war.

 It was gathered that immediately the past president of Nkwelle Ezunaka  Community and the Chairman of Ohanaeze  Ndigbo, Anambra State chapter,  Elder Chris Eluemuno briefed the press on the development, some  hired thugs  said to were armed with AK-47 rifles, Pump Action Guns, probably to protect the surveyor and on sighting the people, the hoodlums shot into the crowd and injured a lot of people working in the land. It was also gathered
that the incident was reported to the police at 3-3”.

 “The same Osile people, 2 years ago, shoot and killed two brothers from the same parents from Umuonuora family who owns the land . Their youth leader who participated in the shooting was recently sentenced to death by an Otuocha High Court. You see if the land you are surveying belongs to you, you don’t need to arm yourself with such dangerous weapons but because they
 are not the owner, they are scared”, the Ohanaeze boss asserted. Osile has frustrated all attempt by the relevant authorities to go to the land and implement the judgment of the Supreme Court delivered in 1917" he said.
