Reformist Nigeria news magazine was reliably informed that on the 4th September, 2016 in an executive meeting of APC Egede/Umuoka ward in Udi local government area of Enugu state that Enger Ik Omenkeukwu was suspended from the party.

The suspension followed in a letter, “Letter of suspension” to you and written on the 4th September 2016 where a vote of no confidence was passed on the APC zonal vice chairman Enugu west Senatorial zone, Enger Ik Emenkeukwu for his financial misconduct in the zone as petitioned by zonal officers.

The state vice chairman of APC in Enugu state, Comrade Ude stressed that Mr Anyadibe who was arrested and allegedly being prosecuted for thuggery, cultism and attempted murder was not in any way authorized as a local government party chairman to convene a meeting of the zone not to talk of passing a vote of confidence on a former zonal vice chairman who was constitutionally removed due to fraud and negligence of duty by the state executive as set out in the APC constitution.

“The zonal executive of Enugu west my appointment as the vice chairman of my zone in line with our party constitution as enshrined in Article 17, 5 and 6 I quote:

“As the highest ranking officer in Enugu west APC, I want to inform all stakeholders that any resolution coming out of such meeting convened by Mr Jude Anyadibe is unconstitutional and unacceptable as we have resolved in our last meeting that Mr Tony Ibekwe is our Acting zonal vice chairman with the support from leaders of the zone including the Honourable minister of foreign affairs who has asked everybody to maintain the status quo until congress.”

“Anybody dealing with Engr Iyke Omenkeukwu in the name of the party does so at his or her own risk because he was removed constitutionally after a vote of no confidence was passed on him by the appropriate organ of his ward, accepted by the zonal executive committee and ratified by the state executive committee of the party for diversion of party fund, neglect and dereliction of duty”.
