Primate, Salvation Army urges govts to encourage private investors

The Territorial Commander and Primate, Salvation Army Nigeria, Col. Victor Leslie has called on all levels of government to give backbone to local investors in order to enhance citizen’s livelihood.

Leslie made the call on Wednesday in Umuchu , Aguata Local Government Area when he paid a courtesy call with his team to Mr Godwin Ezeemo an Industrialist in the area .

He enjoined Christians to emulate the footprint of Jesus Christ in their day to day living by contributing positively to both human and infrastructural development in their various communities.

Leslie said that he was overwhelmed after being conducted around the facilities of Orient group at Umuojogo village and commended Ezeemo for creating job opportunities for teeming unemployed youths in the country.

He said that Ezeemo has brought his wealth home to alleviate the suffering of the masses by creating job opportunities for the unemployed people.

Earlier while conducting Lesilie and team around the facilities Ezeemo said that the factory has incorporated a new department where water proof are been recycled to make new polythene bags .

Ezeemo said his establishment was faced with lots of challenges that had hindered the fast development of the area and listed such challenges as poor supply of electricity, bad roads and multiple taxations and levies from the state government.

He urged the federal and state governments to rally round local investors to succeed in their ventures.

Also speaking member of the salvation team Dr Levi Muonanu said that the likes of Ezeemo should be encouraged in their Think Home Philosophy by giving every necessary assistance from government to assist those in private empire to help build the nation.

“ Job creation is wealth creation so anybody in the line of human and physically development of the society need be encouraged to work optimally in order to achieve a maximum goal of social and economic development.” He said

 

He said that government should give a soft landing to industrialist’s in the state so as to afford them the bill of achieving set goals.

Also Revd Fr  Emeka Akuakor said that Ezeemo lives salvation army in practice and principle by simply using his wealth in creating life line for many unemployed.

He expressed happiness with the level of work going on in the factory noting that the industry would reduce crime to the barest minimum through the offer of jobs to youths

Mrs Rose Mariewife of the territory commander urged other Christian who has received the grace of wealth from God to emulate the foot print of Ezeemo and touch lives of people living around them.

Some of the places visited by the team of salvation army led by Leslie includes fishery farm, poultry , water and water proof production plant, feeds industry, maize farm, honey well hotel among others.
