Post Covid19: Eze Ofoegbu Wants Security Addressed In Nigeria

The Abia state chairman Ohuhu Council of traditional ruler, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu says insecurity in Nigeria is frightening and alarming and something urgent needed to be done.

The traditional ruler disclosed this in his palace he said Nigeria can never remain the same after covid19 he said for the country to move forward insecurity must be addressed urgently.

Ofoegbu who is also the chairman Christian Royal Fathers of Nigeria disclosed that fear and apprehension is the in thing today in Nigeria, pointing that killings by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsman, bandits, kidnappers and armed robbers have taken the centre stage in the country while he called for urgent move that will end this barbaric acts.

The traditional ruler called on the federal government, president Buhari to quickly call stake holders meeting including traditional rulers to dialogue on security matters pointing that the traditional rulers advise will go a long way because they are the ones on ground in their communities.

He disclosed that the autonomy given to legislature, judiciary and Local Government was a welcome development but went further to advised that states should conduct local government elections to give the elected chairmen power to operate freely adding that with the current transition committee chairmen adopted by most states might not yield the required desire as the governor can easily removed them from office.

The traditional ruler appreciated the Umuahia North transition committee chairman, comrade Lucky Akabuike for his proactive nature in his effective monitoring of the activities of the covid 19 taskforce under his LGA by ensuring that those entering the state is prosecuted according to the law.

Ofoegbu whose is also the traditional ruler of Umudiawa autonomous community in Umuahia north LGA disclosed that the Yorubas continuous interest to remain in no two position in the country and eventual become the next president of Nigeria was threatening the interest of Ndigbo to produce the next president of the country.

Ofoegbu whose title is the Diawa of Umudiawa called for equity, justice and fairness in the politics of Nigeria so that every one will have equal share and have sense of belonging and truly believe in oneness of Nigeria.

Eze Ofoegbu revealed that the community vigilante have been up and doing in ensuring that all seized vehicles are taken to the Local Government and handed over to those in charge.
