Just 16days to the 2019 governorship election, the Head of Electronics Media and Production in the Sonni Ogbuoji campaign organization, Steve Rodstick Eze, has dumped the All Progressives Congress party governorship candidate.
Rodstick on Thursday February 14, 2019 declared his unalloyed support and loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate, Engr. Nweze Umahi.

Addressing newsmen, Rodstick claimed that his decision to leave Ogbuoji was because his party APC believes so much in violence alleging that the party have been responsible for the recent clashes in the state.

He reiterated that he was not compelled to join Umahi’s team but have carefully thought about his achievements and developmental strides in his three years in office which has made Abakaliki the fastest growing city in Nigeria.

Adding: ” I have considered the spirit of equity and fairness in the polity of Ebonyi which the APC ideology completely negates. I do not believe in violence in election like the Ogbuoji campaign believes in. I have firm believe that we are one in Ebonyi state and must not kill one another to achieve electoral success.

“After considering the foregoing and due consultation with my teeming fans and supporters numbering over 10, 000 vibrant youths across the state, I wish to declare my unalloyed support and loyalty to Governor David Umahi who have not only made Ebonyians proud in governance but have given Ebonyi state a place of pride in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

“I want to use this medium to assure the governor that we will mop up votes for him and also advise all the few people remaining with Ogbuoji and APC to quickly retrace their steps as that camp I obviously headed for failure and destruction” he stated
