Anambra’ ll not Slide Into Crime Haven Again- Okpompi

The leader of Anamtbra Vigilante Services in Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anmbra State, Chief Chinedu Ihenkor, has assured that Anambra State will not slide back into haven for criminals again.
Chief Ihenkor popularly known as Okpompi made the assertion weekend when he was bestowed with multiple awards by groups and organisations to honour him for his contributions to the security of lives and property not only in Onitsha but the entire Anambra State.
He said that inspite of the challenges, they will continue to work to ensure in concert with other security operatives and stakeholders that criminals do not hijack Onitsha and its environs.
Ihenkor said ” whatever you are doing, you are bound to face challenges.We have decided to do this job. It is a voluntary and humanitarian service to our people.We can’t go back for criminals to take over the State. We are committed to do more to salvage our people”.
He commended those who considered him worthy for the awards for recognising his modest contributions to ensure that the people sleep with their two eyes closed.
Chief Ihenkor said the awards would serve as encouragement to him and his people, promising that they would not relent in their efforts to secure the society.
Those who gave him awards were Crime Reporters of Nigeriia, Southern zone, which also made Ihenkor their patron for his outstanding contributions to crime reduction not only in Anambra State but in Nigera and Centre for Intergrity and Quality Leadership, Porthacourt, Rivers State.
Speaking on behalf of Crime Reporters, Monday Ojoma, said the award and the appointment as a patron was to encourage Chief Ihenkor to continue with his outstanding contributions to crime bursting not only in Anambra State but in Nigeria in general.
The Programme Coordinator of Centre for Intergrity and Quality Leadership, Prince Balarabe Afegbua, said Chief Ihenkor has distinguished himself in areas of crime detection, prevention and combating as well as high level of intergrity and outstanding leadershiip.
Earlier in July, Fresh Facts Magazine had given Chief Ihenkor the “Most Distinguished Vigilante Personnel in Diligence and Meritorious services to humanity”.
