A  human rights activist and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku has call on the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, to without delay arrest, prosecute and bring to justice  the killers of a human right activist and Kogi PDP Woman Leader Mrs Achefu Abuh
The activist visible sad made this known through a press release said
“It is very sad and unacceptable before man and God that our inalienable fundamental human rights to life must be recklessly murdered by the bloodsucking agents during elections between the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“What happened in Kogi State on November 16, 2019, was nothing but an emissary of man’s inhumanity to humanity where armed thugs sporadically shot people dead and deeply disrupted peaceful and the armless voters especially in the den of the opposition political party, PDP.
“The election was a tie of harassment, intimidation, destruction, bloodbath and indeed a travesty of our democratic and electoral process in the presence of the security agents who were deployed to protect life and property and to forestall any sort of pre and post election violence.
“It is very sad to learn that less than 48 hours after the election was conducted and a winner declared, Mrs. Acheju Abuh, who was the Woman Leader of the Wada Aro Council, Ochadamu Ward and who was the Woman Leader for the Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Musa Wada, in the just concluded governorship election in Kogi State was set ablaze inside her house by unknown thugs who arrived her home around 2pm and blockaded her inside.
“The World tearfully read in the media how Mrs Abuh’s killers resiliently shot sporadically for hours into the air in her house as terrified villagers watched from far without being prevented, arrested and forestalled by the security agents deployed in the State?
“It is barbaric that Mrs. Abun’s murderers relaxed and soaked her building with petrol and set it ablaze while she was helplessly inside her house and roasted like a bush meat?  Is it not evil to note that the bloodthirsty thugs waited and watched with relish while Mrs. Abuh, cried from inside the inferno in her own house until her voice died out and the killers left when the entire house had been burnt to ashes till her skeleton and skull sighted inside her degraded house? Is this how elections should be conducted?
“Justice must be done. We are all human beings who deserve to be alive. We are created by God to live. The ruthless killing of this woman has no justification whatsoever. Heaven and Earth condemn killings of any sort. Both the Holy Bible and Koran also condemn killings. I therefore urge the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, to arrest and prosecute the killers of Mrs. Acheju Abuh. Those murderers should be brought to justice”, the activist stated.
