Abia LGA Honors Ambassador Nzechi For His Philanthropic Gesture

Ikwuano local Government Area of Abia state has used the occasion of  this years  August meeting to  honoured Ambassador Charles Nzechi, the founder of Charles Nzechi foundation (CNF) and an upcoming politician for his philanthropic gesture towards the down trodden and the needy

The chairman of the council, Ezinne Ngozi Oji while eulogizing him said the council  with keen interest observed how Nzechi has used his foundation to touch life in the state and the LGA and decided to honour the philanthropist with the title of “Ochi na nwata”.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, ambassador Nzechi thanked the council for recognizing his effort adding that he would forever cherish the award.

He used the occasion to invite the first lady of Abia state, Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu to the official opening of a bungalow his foundation built for a helpless old widow who had been living in a mud house with a leaking roof and snakes as unwanted companion

The CEO Multiple Travels Nigeria Limited, Charles Nzechi while addressing journalist said Ikwuano is like a second home to him adding that he would continue to contribute to the development of the LGA.

He commended Igbo women for coming together for the celebration of August meeting while he assured that he is planning to attract foreign investors to change the face of the meeting to a carnival of sort

Nzechi  further disclosed that due to the love he has for mankind, he instituted the foundation which he said had so far built over ten houses for indigent people of his constituency, last year paid WAEC fees for indigent students of  home front “community secondary school Isingwu,.” Umuahia, gave award and money to best deserving teachers in the state and constituted a scholarship scheme
